furtherbook ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the furtherbook iOS app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address.
• Reading Data: Books you add, reading logs, notes, mood entries, and reading streaks you create within the app.
• Usage Data: Anonymous usage analytics (e.g., feature interactions) to help us improve the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the furtherbook service.
• To sync your library and notes across your devices.
• To generate AI-powered summaries (Weekly Wrap) from your reading notes — only when you explicitly enable this feature.
• To manage your subscription and process payments via RevenueCat.

3. AI Features (Weekly Wrap)

The Weekly Wrap feature uses your reading notes to generate a personalized summary card. This feature is opt-in and can be disabled at any time in Settings → Weekly Wrap. Note content sent for AI processing is used solely to generate your summary and is not used to train AI models.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in the cloud using Supabase. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is protected by your authentication credentials.

5. Third-Party Services

furtherbook uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — cloud database and authentication
• ISBNDB API — book search and metadata
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Sign in with Apple / Google — authentication

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual books and notes at any time from within the app. To permanently delete your entire account and all associated data (profile, books, notes, reading history, and notifications), go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This action is immediate and irreversible.

7. Children's Privacy

furtherbook is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date.
